| This Thursday, Aug. 21 is the first day of our 100 Mile Farmers' Market in Pickering. It will begin at 8am and go till 2pm. We are pleased to announce that Pickering's Mayor Ryan will be on hand at 11:30am on Thursday to officially kick off the start of the Market's season. Please come visit and purchase some fresh and local produce! | |
| The Market will feature local farmers and food producers, as well as highlighting local artisans, crafters, musicians and creative people. Our goal is to promote the vibrant, sustainable lifestyle that living and working in Durham represents. The 100 Mile Market is a 4 week pilot project in 2008 to be expanded to an ongoing, functioning market in 2009. | |
