Best of all it offers a virtual tour so you can view selections from every gallery and experience a collection that spans 11,000 years. You'll need Quick-time to take the tour, but it's worth downloading for the experience of "being there." Or click on a particular collection to read an overview and see major works.

Rock and Roll that particularly American music phenomenon, is celebrated at the official Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's website. The animation and contemporary graphics make rockhall.com fun to explore. You'll find the names and profiles of performers who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame and learn how the selection process works. We particularly liked Spotlight Artifact with items such David Bowie's red platform shoes that link you to the performer's bio and personal timeline. Surprisingly, there is no music to accompany the site's entertaining content.
